Bolivar/Crystal Beach
About 25 miles of open, drivable beaches. Calm during winter – busy during summer months.
Bolivar Yacht Basin is located on the Galveston Bay side of the Bolivar Peninsula between Crystal Beach and Port Bolivar, approximately 6 miles from the Bolivar ferry landing and 2 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. The marina is ideally located near some of the best Galveston Bay fishing grounds.
Due to the prevailing winds from the south, Galveston Bay boating is easier along the peninsula because the water is generally calmer with less wave action than farther north on Galveston Bay. The marina is also ideally located for deep-sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico due to its proximity to the Gulf. Or, one can fish from or just enjoy the approximately 25 miles of Bolivar’s drivable beaches.
In addition, the peninsula is a great starting point to make day trips to Galveston, Houston, Beaumont, and southwest Louisiana.
